Hey guys, brand new to the hobby and have been using a Bounty Hunter model (I know, I know but I’m just not ready to spend a grand on the fancy machine). I saw a “Goldmaster Mineral and Metal Detector by Whites Electonics” Model TR7 (circa 1970s) I know its very old but have seen a few posts where people swear by their older machines, I was just wondering if its worth the $62 bucks the seller wants?

Any help would be appreciated, happy hunting!

For $62.00 I'd give it a shot if it worked.  Whites may even have parts to fix it.  However the newer nugget machines are lots better than this relic.  But they did work.

Ol Grubstake is the White's man in the know.a newer model such as a goldmaster3,vsat would be a better choice if your on a very limited budget,or if you can squeeze $5-6 hundred you should find a GMT on the Arizona gold forums or e-bay.........Dave
