there has to be a way to get that bar out -- ( kind like the monkey with a coconut trap the indains used to make -- a small hole made in the coconut and a piece of fruit put  in it --monkey reaches in and grabs the fruit inside  and will not let go of fruit because of his greed his paw is trapped --- human runs up to monkey --monkey lugging coconut on paw can not climb or outrun human --- monkey gets bopped and eaten )  humm hack saw blade in --- bring out  the gold bar in in chunks ?   Grin --- yes I'm bad --- Ivan

Hmmm, they really need to dust out some of those displays. And clean the drool and fingerprints off the glass too....  Cheesy

We just cleaned all the displays in September. LOL But the drool is always there...it is mostly mine...sorry about that. Cheesy If I were at my computer, I would add to this great thread, I have some good ones of the back area and preservation lab. That's where I spend most of my time, and if any of you T-Netter's ever come by, ask the security gaurd if I'm in and i'll come out and meet you. Lately, I've been in Texas diving in the gulf...News years eve on Padre island was pretty nice! Cheesy I'll post some more pics soon.

I visited Taffi's museum in Sebastian this summer and I still like the Key West museum better. I think it was almost 7.00 to get into Taffi's. They still have about the same displays that they had when I first visited in 1986. It's something to see the treasure's on TV and go well I have seen them in person. Now if I could just find some of the same stuff, that would be sweet.

I was told,"It is CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE......" by another T-Net member I met to do some cache-hunting. I had no reason to NOT believe him. But, I have just gotten a PM informing me my information is UNTRUE. I have no reason to disbelieve either the writer of the PM nor my friend who also is a member here. I suppose the only way to know for sure is for someone to post in this thread asap the TELEPHONE NUMBERS of all the museum of Mr. Fisher's. It is an assumption I had that there was only ONE MUSEUM, now others here imply there is more than one.So, if someone would be so kind to put these numbers up here for me, then i will personally make the calls to verify what my cache-hunting buddy told me. I should have never posted this without verification.Mt apologies, and I hope to resolve this swiftly.Hmmmmm.....stvn.

I saw this on another site as well. Are you talking taffi's place or the museim in Key West? Taffi usually closes for a bit for yearly housekeeping so could it be that is what is going on?

It is CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Turns out someone was taking display treasure and replacing them with fakes, so the feds stepped in and are investing.....Hmmmmm.....stvn.
