Got up this morning and went to future tear down to hunt. Never hunted the tear down property. Instead I hunted the neighbors property which was actually the big back yard of an old farm house. The owner and I talked for a bit about the land and the I asked that famous question. WOULD YOU MIND IF I LOOKED AROUND WITH MY METAL DETECTOR? Then you hear the famous words........."NO you can't" ONLY KIDDING ..."Sure you can she says...." I put the coil to the soil and the first target after a few swings, popped out a 54 dime Couple minutes later a 41S Merc A couple wheats more ,Then the 52 dime pops out. Looks like this might be a good day..... Spent about 2 hours there and I do plan to go back..... Thank You JENNY( the owner) I LOVE SILVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to try to track down the owner of the bracelet...( Hopefully) READ BELOW FOR UPDATE ON RETURNING THE BRACELET In Aug. If you will notice all items were found in PARK RIDGE IL for those who want to know..........................

Very nice silver hunt Bob. Congrats on getting the permission. I love the comment you made......" put the coil to the soil". That would actually make a great metal detecting t-shirt and bumper sticker. Hmmmmm. -MM-

UPDATEHere's a link to the post. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index....c,150546.msg1082626.html#msg1082626This now the second bracelet that I have been able to return. It's a WW2 ID Bracelet. The owner is now deceased. I searched for any kids and with the help from my sister we came up with several names. Then I looked on the High Schools Alumni and further reduced it to 2 people. Then I searched the US for the names and BINGO got a hit. Spoke with the son and the bracelet will be off in the mail on Monday morning. Along with the bracelet I sent a letter explaining where it was found and also included a picture of me holding the bracelet. All I asked for was a letter back stating that he received it so I can put into my Metal Detecting Album Enjoy....................... What a great feeling this hobby is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is an email sent to me from the Owners Son. Dear Robert I am writing to thank you for sending my fathers WWII bracelet to me. We are very happy to have it. I also want to confess that I was suspicious when you called and probably sounded so. Please don’t let that deter you in the future. What you did was really a good thing. Now you have me stirred up. I would really like to know who he was visiting when he lost it. Mom and Dad have been gone for some time but there remain a few friends who I will make an effort to contact. Actually, I have always thought that having a metal detector would make for a great hobby. Now I am sure. Aside from finding the Rolex, I can see how you derive pleasure from what you do in this regard. I wonder how much you need to invest to get started? I will send you a fiver to cover postage – a mere token of appreciation Well thanks again, and if you know of someone wanting to move to Charlotte, please send them along Thom Lochen Thom Lochen Keller Williams Realty Office: 704 409 4727 Home: 704 596 ----- Cell: 980 253 ----- TLochen@Bellsouth.netWWW.CharlotteHomeRelo.com

Hey Bob, belated congrats on that great hunt. Man, it's great that you didn't give up on finding the owner of that bracelet. Now you come, like a voice from the past, and his son can enjoy and cherish the bracelet as long as he lives. That's a thrill!! Nice work! Neil
