http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,157434.0.htmlhttp://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,157195.0.html Calvert was thrown up in 1860's after the civil war, and when the RR came through, no telling about this store. There was (is)3 layers of floor boards from plywood, to tounge and groove, to just milled boards. I dont know if the last was the original or not. but they looked like real 1x's and real 2 x's, all rotten now. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php?topic=162203.new;topicseen#top http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,163242.0.htmlhttp://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,165931.0.html And so it ends. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,166216.0.html#lastPost

I loved the video and am looking forward to future ones.

Wow, Albert, you have got an awesome place there. I know it must be a lot of work crawling around on your knees, but from the looks of your finds, I'd do it without even thinking.
Thanks for posting the video. That "grand slam" was awesome to look at.

This is an amazing tale. The ongoing story of the reconstruction era stores and the hidden things below continues to get better. The mix is interesting. It is very interesting to me to see the ratios of trade tokens to coins.
Are there any interesting non-coin finds being made? What are the earliest types of artifacts you are encountering? Is there any glass?
Did the coins just fall through the floorboards over the years?
I know this is a lot of questions, but I am just wondering if I should install a milled board floor with spaces between the boards, and throw lots of parties.....
