Some neat stuff today, maybe only 1 day left of diggin, (sigh) all things must come to a end.
But I went out with a Bang.  Got  a First for me,a non silver 3 center, Got  alot of great marbels also, and a UEO (unidentified excavated object)  If you cant read the dates on these coins I cant either yet.  I also got  about 20 Wheats  that I havent checked the dates on yet, and a 1903 Indian head

I took a Pic of this nickle and penny to show some of the Masking problems I've seen here. I'v seen this example  about 10 times in this store even on Silvers.
This was a 4 x 14 x 1.5" deep or so area, If I would have only detected it rather than sift it, I would have gotten a about 6 wheats and 1 silver, The rest is after sifting it out.
The trash was the usall, a lot old buttons, a suspender strap, a pocket watch part, Tons of rusted nails, Iorn UEO's (no Complete Bottles today). etc.. etc....

Fantastic!!  I hope you're going to do a thread with your grand totals from the store.  Hopefully it will go in the Best of Tnet.

So far all I can find on your object is Park&Tilford was a store in New York City, In 1911 a dynamite shanty on 72nd ave. blew up killing one person and destroying several homes and the interior of the Park&Tilford store!  Good luck.

TC I still wonder why the silver coins are such bad shape for silver. Especially being protected all those years. Did they look like that when you found them?
Congrats on a great thread. What a hunt that was.  See you at CTH2.

I belive its the years of Rat droppins on them (least thats my Theroy), But since the first store I dug I have improved cleaning them greatly I just havent done a Thourogh job yet and with a total of 240 Keeper coins (excluding the 300-500 wheats) It may take a while B-4 there all polished up.

gromug  you can click on this link, and that thread has other links that will lead you through the hunt, as I'v added links to it as the Dig progresed, It has some sifter pics in some of the post.
