The Goldtop is actually an '02 Classic. Fret markers are 'aged' pearloid(mother of plastic) which gives it an older look. I don't even play Les Pauls(too heavy) but couldn't pass this up for $200.
You're in Wilmington right Red??

so I can get more, More, more.......<<Wetgreenie

I suffered from G.A.S. for many years Greenie. Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Those were the days when I thought that things would make me feel better. I loved things and used people. Now I love people and use things. Sorry if I'm getting too philosophical but recovery from addiction has taught me the the best things in life aren't things. Addiction stole most of those guitars and as my terminally ill wife used to say........."Ya can't play more than one guitar at a time anyways". I have little time these days to play due to being a primary caregiver for my wife, but I still pick it up a few times a week to keep my chops fresh.

"Shut up and play yer guitar".......FZ  Godwilling I'm gonna catch Johnny A. this sat. nite in Philly.

HH,

It's not in too bad of shape. Maybe a few scratches. My sons got it at his house. I'll ask him to take a pic and post it. As I recall it is missing the pick guard. Still have the original case too.

I've got a 63 white gibson sg special.  Anyone know it's rarity?  All orignal, non-tremlo,
no swapped parts.  Picked it up for $400 from a lady so she could fund her son's commissary account in the big house. Smiley  Someone told me that there was an article recently in vintage guitar(?) that said Tom Petty recently purchased one.  I'm not a picker, but it was too cool a deal to pass up.

I worked for Peavey for 12 years where I ran the Guitar, Drum, Speaker and Amp plants.  Below are just some of the models where I picked the wood and got to see it born into a great instrument.  I spent many an hour playing guitar as PART OF MY JOB!  Oh the life.....

I never collected guitars, although I wish I had, but I've had some nice ones over the years.

Gibson Melody Maker
Gibson SG I played in the late 60's early 70's. No idea what year it was.
Fender Startcaster simi-hollow body electric
Bought a brand new Cherry Sunburst Les Paul Deluxe in 1985.
Played my 1981 Kramer Pacer Carrera(all black) for 8 years before I sold it.

Now I play a Silvertone strat copy. But ya know, after a bit of work, it's sounds really good for what it is.

I just bought this 1982 Ibanez Studio Blazer(SB70) from the pawn shop for $125. I looked at it many times but couldn't find any information in the catalogs that matched it. I did finally find out why. It was only made 1 year(1982) and was a hybrid custom. They took some leftover Studio model guitar bodies and the neck from the Blazer model. Hence the name SB70, or Studio Blazer. Very few were made, and even fewer seemed to have survived. I've found picture of 2 others on the Internet, but both have been modified or beaten bad. This one is in very good shape.

The reason I bought it in the first place was the action. It was apparently owned by a southpaw because it was strung for a left hander, but I could tell the action was very good. Even though I at first found no information about it, I figured for $125 a guitar with that good of action was worth it. It is the best playing guitar I have ever owned by far. Sounds pretty sweet on my Peavy Vypyr.
