I'm wondering(I'm always wondering ) if anyone found gold coins or gold bars here in Washington state. I have heard second hand that coins have been found.

Just interested in how many coins or bars have been found. Even if it's just a reliable second hand story that you heard about. I'm not looking for locations,Just stories on finds.

There used to be a couple of stories at the "Bowen's Hideout"(in Spokane, Wa.) website. Might be worth a look. - Bill

I know Gold Bar, but that wasn't what I was referring to. Thanks anyway.

I don't think I'm familiar with that one, or else I forgot about it. Has the story about those gold bars been published anywhere? I would like to read it.

I have found another gold chain last week(18k). Not a coin or gold bar, but a keeper. I'm still looking for coins and bars. I still have dreams of hitting it big some day.

I found a gold bar! I exchanged it for my Dragonball Z raging blast game! ;)

I heard that over 20 gold coins have been found on Luna Beach in Seattle over the years, because it used to be a resort. Also a reliable detecting buddy of mine says that on huge minus tides at alki beach people have found gold coins over the years, because there used to be a pier and an amusement park there as well. Hope this helps, you might be able to find more specific stories if you search histories of those sites.

I friend of mine was in Seattle a couple of months ago and found a twenty dollar gold coin. Really good condition also. There out there.
