Anyone up on the area of Worlds End State Park or near Eagles Mere?  We camp in the cabins every year at winters end and being a newbie to MD. was wondering about permits or any restrictions in the area.  Lots of potential in the area, as far as I can tell.

I'm not far from there at all.  In fact, I know plenty of places near World's End that I would love to explore with a metal detector.  There are plenty of old ghost towns up that way that are all on state forest land (except for the ghost town of Celestia, which is on private property).  Just east of Laporte is a spot I've camped out at many times, and there are a few old stone building in the woods which could produce some interesting finds.  My ex-gf lives in Laporte and next to her house is a large lot bordering the woods that used to be an old church, and I've been dying to MD there!!!  I have permission, I just don't have a metal detector.
