honey, you cannot tease these men like that......however, I am very, very glad that I am not the only decent looking woman that actually likes this hobby.  It is so cool, and BTW....cool ink.  I do love it.  I am BTW, a 47 yr old mom of 2 and I would love to have it for myself, but I am not quite the creole beauty that you are.  I am just a little mint julip.  I've lost some of that heat that you have in my years.  Have fun in life and grab the golden ring from the carousel ride every chance you get.  Live your life as you see fit, but listen to that still small voice, it is there for a reason.  I wish you the best of luck in your hunts!!

36,158 Members on T-Net (as of my typing this)

There is almost 1 female member for every 10 male members

That makes about 3,615.8 other decent lookin' women who enjoy the hobby here on t-net!

What would you picture though for a female who liked to do this?Huh  Not the ones that have the photos posted on this board.  I figured they would look like Mack trucks.  I've just always been a tomboy of sorts.  My brother took me under his wing early in life and taught me to shoot guns, bows and arrows, catch crawdads, frogs, snakes, spiders, lizards and I'm still not afraid of any of them.

You are right mzkity - I doubt if playboy pinups is the first thing to come to mind for most people, when they think of females into metal detecting.
I have never encountered a female with detector in hand, obviously a male dominated hobby, but well suited for woman & children also, so inclined.
