I made this on the bench grinder the other day, only took about 20 miniutes.   Post some of your modern made hardstone stuff here please. And how do you make them?  How did the natives make them?  This is my second attempt, pretty good I think.  The first was much larger and not very uniform so it would have been days on the grinder.   Seems I cant go much sharper otherwise it chips off. Would heat treating help it out?

Looks good to me I have never tried that, What size(grit) stone did you use?

If it's an igneous stone, heat treating won't work.  Elbow grease and persistance will..   Roll Eyes
