Why are you saying British?  icon_scratch

That nearly complete circle with the curled ends at the top, surrounding the regiment numerals, is distinctly French 18th and 19th century.  Add in the turret shank on the back, and these buttons are about as French as baguette with brie!  Oui?    Smiley

I have to say......I think it is an atroscity that this incredible, just dug collection was moved here, where folks like me would never have seen it if not for trying to follow Devonex through his profile to keep abreast of the fantastic finds he has been making!!Why this never made the banner is another head scratcher, but at least it should have been moved to "My Best Finds",I surely hope this doesnt chase Devonex off,its finds like his that make Treasurenet  Undecided

M.X.T , Tesoro Tejon 4"& 2.5" dredge with a little luck!!
