Detector used Detector(s) Used - Tesoro Tejon

Posted Nov 13, 2009, 11:50:19 am

Any Tejon users out there who have used it on the beaches of Nags Head/Outer Banks?  With the big storm having hit there pretty hard, I am thinking of driving down to Nags Head this weekend to do a little hunting.  I wanted to see if anyone on here has hunted at Nags Head with a Tejon before I make the 3 hour drive.  Obviously I don't plan on water hunting, but I wasn't sure how the mineralization was in the wet/dry sand there.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks!

I've hunted at Nags Head with the Tejon, and it will work fine on the dry sand but will not do well on the wet sand.  If you turn the sensitivity down it will work ok, but will be chattery.  Most other Tesoros will outperform it on the wet sand.
