Thinking about buying a deeper coil for my garrett gti 1500. Which do you think is best, garrett 12.5" imaging or the 10x14" power DD. Is the 12.5 imaging that much deeper than the 9.5 imaging coil that I have? Like the imaging but I know the power DD coil doesn't have it. So please let me know which one you like best.           help  thanks

If your soil is mineralized, and you can't run your sensitivity barely past 6, the "DD" coil will get better depth for you. If you can run yoyr machine's sensitivity 7-8 or greater, get the 12.5 imaging coil, as they will both get about equal depth. Just remember that you lose your imaging with the DD.

The 12.5 is slightly deeper but this can be a problem in trashy areas unlike the DD which is hot mainly down the center.  Remember the DD is also heavier too.
