Harry was a survivalist, anti government, anti bank and had been robbed once so he buried his money then died. His brother Bud in the pictures was supposed to get the money. Bud had a stroke and couldn't do much so gave me and my partner Steve 10% to help find and dig up the money. Out of a bunch of locations we only found two for a total of $38,000. Harry had made two maps with instructions-1997 and 1999 showing where some of the stuff was buried. He had shown Bud where some of the locations were but Bud couldn't remember much about them. To say that Harry was different would be an understatement. We also have lots of pictures but Harry referenced everything to trees and he had planted over 400 of them some of which died and the others had grown a lot so that in itself was confusing. We were like a bunch of kids finding and digging the stuff up-had a ball. I am getting old and want to sell the place and take it easy. It's a wonderful survivalist place but I have another one closer to the kids.

We did not find it all. The maps are included with the property plus several pictures. $219,900 for the 83 acres. I know pretty close to where some gold is buried but I have the place rented out and do not want the renters seeing me searching there as it might take a while to find it and it is close to the house. When Harry dug something up he never filled the holes back in so we can see where anything is gone. There is more there, we just haven't found it yet. I'm not a very dedicated treasure hunter, I'm old and lazy-by design LOL

Harry was very lucky, and you too are very lucky... Seems like every time I've seen a post about money (i.e. paper money) being dug up, it's always rotten because of the moisture retained inside the packaging... I'd say you're an extremely lucky treasure hunter, because you have found multiple packages of buried paper money and as your photos show, yours is still good even after being buried in the ground... Will whoever buys the house be so lucky as to find only un-rotten buried money, or did you count only the good bills you dug up and perhaps you aren't counting the rotten bills you dug up?!?  EF |

You can see where the paper clips on the money had started rusting.
I still have the containers I dug up. I'll try to post some pics of them.
We had a ball finding and digging the stuff up, like a bunch of elderly kids. LOL

Yeah, thosee paper bills look great! I could see the rust stains on most of the bundles of bills where the moisture had rusted the metal paper clips. Harry was extremely lucky that the water which caused those rust stains on the bills apparently managed to dissipate within the sealed, buried containers without rotting his money... You, too, are very lucky to have recovered that non-rotted (but rusted) cash! EF |

Harry dug up some silver half dollars and they were corroded and when he went to the casinos he would give his lady friends some to gamble with and they would be embarrassed to use them be cause the casinos complained. Harry never cleaned ANYTHING. well he did let the dogs lick the dishes.

Very interesting post. First of all big congrats on the find. For the part on finding more on this land well time will tell.
80 acres is a huge piece of land.
We looked for a cache on a 5-10 acre plot for many hours over a 10 year period.
Never did find it, it could be there still.
Trees grow, and things never look the same 30-50yrs later.
Now being another 35 yrs the place looks really different.
