Wow.  The guy is given an award, and everyone blames him for it?  Where are the folks blaming the committee that awarded him the prize?  Do you blame the movie if it sucked and someone gave it an Academy Award?

We all know there's no such thing as a "hunted out" location.  Let's stop using that phrase to describe a park out of which you just dug a pile of coins!  Obviously that particular place wasn't "hunted out", right?

They are just as much the joke as the award is.

Which award are you talking about??
The Hisman, or the Nobel?

The Nobel Peace.  While I agree that President Obama hasn't really done anything that warrants being honored with this particular prize, I don't blame him for it.  It's not as though he went and asked them to give it to him.  They got together and decided to give it to him.

Ahh, okay, I guess I misunderstood the butt of the joke, as did the first guy to respond, it looks like.

Nahhh, he's taking the joke the wrong direction.  No one's going to award the President the ability to walk on water, but a lot of folks here love to mock him by calling him a saint, or the next Jesus.  The thing is, he didn't paint this picture of himself, his constituents did.  Just like he didn't give himself the Nobel award, a committee did.  But a lot of folks, when face witht he chance to mock Obama versus any other person or group, always picks Obama.  Is it because he's an easy target, or because they just didn't vote for him?  If all the "I Hate Obama" threads were deleted from this site, we'd probably lose 30 or 40 thousand posts right off the bat.

This post was modified because the response was to the Nobel Peace Prize...Obama was nominated before he was elected President...

By the way, the nominations closed 12 days prior to the elections...

So, please explain how a President, who was not a President at the actual time of his nomination, did anything internationally to be awarded this prize...

This the joke...a study in political BS...

the butt of the joke is the one that won the trophy
How do you figure that?  He didn't ask for it.  He didn't demand it from them.  He didn't send a team to this committee to break some kneecaps in order to be given this.

You need to ask the Nobel committee that, instead of me, and certainly instead of blaming and mocking the man they awarded it to.

Political BS?  Sounds more like some kind of misplaced jealousy or anger on your part....

Regardless of when the nominations closed, or how that correlates to the election last year, why does the President deserve to be ridiculed for receiving an award that he had no hand in creating?

All I can say is this.  If this is the most trying thing you have to deal with, then you guys must have the most perfect lives ever.  Seriously, take the time and emotion and resources you're wasting here and direct them towards a more worthy cause, as in something you can actually change.....

All I can say is this.

Some folks just can't take a joke.

Mega barages of humor directed at "W"
but say something even remotely humorous about Barry and watch  out !

They can sure dish it out.
But taking their share is out of the question.

I've never found much humor in W. jokes either.  I've met the man and found him to be quite intelligent.  He has had problems with public speaking in the past, and jokes concerning that are amusing, but someone calling him stupid isn't.  Someone mocking Obama for being given an award isn't either.  If you're going to relay a joke to the group here, please try to make sure its funny but, more importantly, that it makes sense.

Trust me, the above joke wasn't nearly remotely humorous.  It was mean-spirited, low brow, and did more to convey your feelings in respect to the current political situation instead of any sense of comedy.
