Just retired and dug out my Dalton Magnetometer but can't tune  it by the instructions.   Murphy Dalton has a lot of theory in the owner's manual but no straight forward operating instructions.  (the Barn's unit you just turn it on and listen to the "clicks")    I'm in Florida and will gladly bring the unit to any eastcoast location person that has/is using one. Thanks

I own own of these, but never tried to fire it up. Dalton is/was still kicking ~3 years ago, I talked to him on the phone and he was very eager to help.
