all Never got to go detecting this week a family commitment on Saturday and heavy rain Sunday kept me away from the fields So on Sunday I spent a couple of hours going through my scrap Buckets I pulled out a few bits and bobs and placed them into another container, on one of the pieces I noticed a bit of gilding and took it into the house for further investigation I gave it a bit of a clean with genolite and a cotton wool bud red enameling started to show and a symbol in the middle turns out it's a 13th-14th Century Heraldic Horse Pendant, in the form of a quarterfoil with cusps between the lobes At the centre of the Pendant there is a Monogram possibly reading Maria in a Field of red enamel surrounded by a Guilded border. I'm going to have to be a lot more carefull what I through in my scrap buckets from now on SS
