A friend called me in the morning and asked if I wanted to hit his favorite spot and I said heck ya, I've hunted this spot one time before and had good luck also.  I managed to get a nice old barber dime, crusty old nickel and five wheats.  The coins were all about 4-6 inches deep and the next time I go there I'm going to put the 6x10DD on cause it's so much nicer in the woods and it doesn't get snagged.

Nice finds Giant...looking like it might be a good weekend to get out.  Think I might put on the 6x10 myself this weekend.

That's a nice haul of old coins.  I would be pretty psyched to find a Barber coin in the woods.  So far have only found 1 or 2 Mercs that way.

Nice woods finds. Be careful, firearm season starts Sunday!
