I didn't think I was going to make the 150 mark but I got 1 on Thu., 3 on Fri., and 1 today. Todays find was a nice 18k ladys ring with red and white stones(no diamonds) The crucifix was found 3 weeks ago and is one of my favorite finds. Total weight with chain is 22.7 grams. I have never seen a piece like this before. I have 2 more days to hunt and will be heading back to Missouri for the holidays. Thanks for looking.

Hi dfo,

This has probably been asked of you numerous times but do you primarily water hunt? If so, at what depth? Knee deep, waist deep?  Do any dry sand hunting?

By the way, you really make some impressive gold finds!

  Hi Rick:

I only hunt in the water. I hunt from my ankles to my chin. Most finds are around waist deep, depending on whether you have any surf action. Thanks for the comments.

That crucifix is awesome! Smiley

Hi I have a question for you. I have the Whites PI a very old unit 25+ yrs and the Whites Surfmaster do you have any trouble with them in the salt water. I had my Surfmaster and I got all kind of static with it when I got near the water what should I have done to hunt the water. Plus by the way you are a gold magnet for hitting the 150 mark....Thanks Matt

  Hi Matt

The only trouble I ever had with the surfmaster was that it had a leaking problem. Whites, replaced the cover gasket and that seemed to cure the problem.
Thanks for the comments.
