Well I went back to the spot I found last weekend.  The one that looked military. Decided to try along the edges since the main area was all trash.  Check these out!  Me thinks someone was tipping a few when they did this.  Good way to get yourself shot.  I did not find much of anything else so I stopped at the old picnic area in the woods on the way back.  Found the spoon and the makeup container.  Surprised the hinge still worked on it and it opened right up.  Still had some goop inside too.  Thought you might find the 50 cals interesting. (found the watch too but its toast).  Sure was a nice day to get out!

I was wondering what was up with those holes, good eye.  I am not a guns and ammo person. What did they do throw them at the target?   laughing7 Must have been some kids that got ahold of them and thought they could set them off.

very cool finds, those bullets are crazy.  at first glance they look like someone was shooting at them trying to set them off.  strange stuff, I like the old make-up tin,  HH

Yeah Postal, the bigger holes are bullet holes. Somebody was trying to set them off.  The smaller holes, as the previous poster noted are put in training rounds.  There was no powder in them.  Somebody was trying to set off a couple off duds.

Tried it! Not a good idea. Neat finds.
