Well I got a heads-up from Brett this morning that he saw dump-truck loads of black dirt placed around our honey hole site. It won't be long and this site is going to be covered over like so many other parks. We've done pretty good there (especially Brett), but with just one silver I needed to get back and see if I could sneak out a couple more.
The solid signals are getting slim to none there, so most of my finds today were one way tones.
I was hoping that the dirt covered quarter would be my first SLQ, but when I rinsed it off at home
I was surprised to see my first Barber! Yes!  hello2
Well I almost went home after digging the quarter just to take pics of it the way it was, and to then clean it to see what it is. Sure glad I stuck around. A foot from the quarter was the '50 Rosie, then a wheat, the Buff-'36  and the war-nick-43-P. The '45 Merc  was about 20' from this spill and the wheats were everywhere. '18, '19, '20, '36, '42, '44, '44-d.

Thanks for looking!

Wow!
Super sweet honey hole!  Any invites to it available now that we know it's going away?!?!?

I'm sure you'd get a few helping hands to try to squeeze the last bites out!

Nice haul!

It's a squirrel gun, get it?

I KNEW YOU GOT A BARBER QUARTER when you said it had stars on it!!!!   Holy crappity cakes that's awexome!!!!!   It's about time you dug a mad stash of silver there!  I guess we're even now, 11 for me and 5 for you... because I would trade 6 silver to dig up that barber quarter!

I went out there tonight for an hour and came away with 2 really deep memorials, 1 plated religious pendant and a 1941 nickel.

Hopefully tomorrow we can find a new honey hole ;-)  Because we're kind of spoiled now after 16 silver, two silver rings and almost 100 wheaties.  It'll still be worth it to get back out there though.
