I found these at an old CCC camp. When I found the first one, I thought
it might be part of an electrical fitting but when I saw the spring, I realized
it was part of the fuse assembly of a WWII-era hand grenade Shocked

That made clearing the area for tree planting that much easier.   

Found several aerial bomb fuses a long time ago here in Elgin, near the place where they were made in the early '40's.  Had them id'ed by a couple old timers who worked on them too!

Those are some interesting finds.... I would have ? them and then tossed them in my junk bag for garbage....

Yep thats exactly what they are but since they are still intact minus the blasting cap (fuse) they may of been
from training gernades or they could of just been unscrewed from real ones and the pins pulled to plowup
the caps up. Either way they are killer finds!!!! laughing9
