I just follow my nose!...where the silver and gold goes!

Ok, some of you know me but I have not been on in a while. been too busy selling. I figured its been long enough I need to refresh some of my posts.

I am a goldsmith, Jeweler, and Refiner of Gold and Silver.
I take Junk that has gold in it, or silver, and make it into coin.

So I have our own product, as well as stuff I get in trade.
What I have changes every day. But its worth checking to see if I have anything.

Most of my gold I can do at just $30 over spot per oz. On 1 oz coins, or 1/10ths of our own make and others when in stock.
Collectible coins are sold at or below gray sheet bid. This changes Daily.

Most of my silver I do at 70 cents to a dollar over spot.

I buy scrap and junk gold for refining all day long.

if its less than an oz. I will pay 90% straight up. on all quality marked and tested 10k 14k 18k Any Color yellow or white.
If its more I can pay the dealer rate at %95, before refining. This is because no gold is accurate, it varries.

If I refine it I pay 98% after I know exactly what I am getting. 1 oz minimum right now.

I offer coining services, So I can take your gold and make it into coins. It Runs about %7 to %10 depending on how much you send.

I dont charge a refining fee. unless the value of what you send is less than $100 I buy it outright, I have to do whats economical. But I can buy things for better prices and sell for better prices than retail places

Are there places that may pay better? Maybe. Are there places that pay less....Oh yes. But this is what I do, its very useful for those who do not have a local place to go. And I offer services no one else does and keep my rates reasonable.

Below is a sample of what I have in stock at any given time. Also what we buy and make. Also a pic of some of the coin blanks in production...each blank was a 1/4 oz

I pretty much do nothing but live, eat and sleep and deal gold all the time. I am happy to do business with people who want to do business.

3 questions Dave:

1.  what percentage of melt do you pay for silver that you refine?

2.  do you pay in cash only, or can i get name brand bullion or 90% junk in trade.  No offense, but my belief is that u.s. govt minted coins are more recognizable and therefore more liquid, even at 90%, than private mint bars stamped .999.

3.  I have some sterling flatware I would like to monetize.  I was thinking of sending it to a refiner.  If I send to you, do I have to remove the stainelss knive blades and weighted handles?  this is for name brand flatware marked .925.  I'm not experienced doing this and it would be a huge chore for me.

4.  i have some miscellaneous foreign coins with silver content.  also some holed u.s. coins.  former ranges from 50% to 80% silver.  latter is 90%.  Will you refine this or do you have a cutoff percentage.
