Had a great plan, walked at least 10 different fields, all in old areas, all on the water, and it just didn't work out. One place was a group of about 6 and I think one did have an early site but was already hunted.

We'll be out in a few days, with a new plan, and some oldies to post!  thumbsup

Trust me, we tried!  With about 45 minutes left I yelled to Ironhorse... "We need a game changer, or we lose!" ... it obviously didn't come.   I have many sites researched but are not close, looks like we might have to do the trip though.  I will not lose 2 in a row!  Sad

One is an 1830 Halfpenny, the other an 1815 Canadian colonial token. Two are blank.  Relics are a jews harp, and maybe a candle holder.  Nothing too impressive for the day.

Tell me your address.   So four or five guys from PA can come up there and smack you upside your head a few.

I think a couple of the guys are going to be wearing colonial soldier garb... as for me, I might tow along a feller who sports Confederate gray.  And while I'm at it, I might bring a couple guys from Jersey along to make you change that creepy avatar  Cheesy

Now that's funny! ...because it would probably be too late for our next hunt.

See...  I have been waiting for a UPS package and just got off the phone with them not even 2 hours ago to say what they did it not acceptable!  My package was delayed from Friday to today, then was on the truck here in town since 8:20 am, never came to the door and he checked it back in at the depot at 5:42pm.

Hahah, nice one.

I'll trade you a couple trounced Georgies for those ugly, heavy forged iron axes you tossed in the trash can out back.

Oh, and as for the deleted comment, I basically said that you probably don't know how to use a trash can.  It involved your loyalty to the Crown.  But I am friendly with enough other Brits and Canadians on here, and I don't want anyone to take my joking around the wrong way.

So anyway I figured I got you good and ticked off, but it seems you were just going back and reading your detector manual in a hurry.... for our impending visit were you get shown up by a guy from PA with a beep-dig machine.  My bad, LOL.

Talk about a hilarious post, you guys on the east coast must have something in your drinking water. As for your hunt, i'd say you were due for a reality check. Your last couple of hunts were unbelievable, you got yourself some real keepers. Having said that, I still think you did well. The jews harp is a great relic, and a few coppers are always nice to see. Keep'em comming!.

we didn't do that bad, no banners but it wasn't a complete loss,  we didn't score any Georgies or military relics, but we did give 110% in the search and our finds weren't a loss in my books, although we could have done somewhat better, I guess the end of this week will tell the tale

my quarter was a 1874 and the NS half cent cleaned up ok too.......but it still isn't what we like to find, soon ole buddy soon!

Totally agree, ....  not about the water  Wink, the luck changing. It had to happen sooner or later because pretty much every hunt I've been on for weeks and weeks has turned up some great stuff.   We plan quite a few more digs before freeze up and each day we go out with new sites in mind so we're bound to hit something.  Just as I typed that sentence a place I've been looking at jumped in my mind again, maybe it's a sign it's the one. It was one of the places we had planned to take the Patriot but luckily didn't make it that far.  That worked out well for another reason because this particular field is probably corn or beans and then it was no doubt still planted, but now I'm thinking it's ready to go.  It's a large field on the water, has a bit on an inlet, and is right beside a place we did an older site years ago. Yep, I think it's going to be the one. thumbsup

IP, I thought you knew that it is bad karma for the copper and good relic mojo to start a competition with CKK.  Once upon a time I had such a competition going--and I hit the worst run of IH cents and junque I have ever had.  Now that there is no pressure, I have been finding lots of coppers here in Old Kentucky.   Wink

No problem, if you pi$$ me off I'll just have the boys burn down the White house again!

Kindly instruct the Redcoats this time to linger in PA for a spell, and make sure to drop a bunch of early coppers in my backyard.  A silver or three would be nice too.

Oh, and tell them to keep their lousy Loyalist amigos' buttons on their coats; we don't want them in our ground. laughing9

Perhaps we needn't bother, my friend.  From the looks of his avatar, they've taken to wearing a horribly mutated, leotard-like abomination, with Union Jack stripes diagonal.  No buttons there.  And look, those villanous tories now have no slings... they levitate their rifles.

Atrocious.

Iron Patch, whilst I ignore the parade photo as best I can, kindly tell me about those coins and relics pictured there.  Were they found today??

-Rusted

One is an 1830 Halfpenny, the other an 1815 Canadian colonial token. Two are blank.  Relics are a jews harp, and maybe a candle holder.  Nothing too impressive for the day.

I think it maybe a gate bolt hole, not sure of the proper name.  Put it on its side & the bolt slotted into it.

You can't hit a home run on every hunt, IP.  You'll be back on the Colonial wagon next hunt. thumbsup

I'm glad to see that you love KKC as much as KKC loves KKC. laughing9 laughing9  After seeing that pic, I laughed so hard I almost passed out. laughing9
I did pass out. Just climbed back up off the floor. That pic floored me. I'm glad your still trying to beat us. thumbsup

Yep, and I even have the find(s) from the era...with many more to come!

We'll be nailing some very, very early relics for PA at this site.  More than just a stray 1600s buckle or coin. Grin Wink

Native American or European?  I don't recall you posting too many 1600s European relics.  The ones I do remember were sweet, though!
