I finally able to get a day out with nice weather the right tides and a willing partner.  Hit my favorite spot here on the bay Sunday morning.  A 20 minute boat ride and we were finally on the beach.  I took a newbie with me and was in the process of showing him how and what to look for when he picked up a sweet little quartz point.  Told him he was on his own and pointed him down the beach.  I headed out in the opposite direction with my dog Asker and her tennis ball.  I ended up finding two points and a handful of potsherds after a couple of hours of walking.  The best part though was that I took a couple of insitu pics before picking the two points I found.  The first one I believe is a Lamoka or Poplar Island point and the other I'm not sure about other than I think its a late woodland period point.  enjoy!

Your notched point, I suspect, is a Meadowwood. And indeed Woodland.

Wow that quartz point is a beauty!
You must be in a area protected from the surf. Those points would be oval shaped smooth pebbles if they were laying on my ocean facing shore for very long.
