Button Help London? UK? British? Local?

I was down Charelston SC lowcountry when I dug this average looking clothing button. The button says E. Lamb / 111 Jermyn St
The only thing I found online that remotely could be tied to this button says Edward lamb military tailor, nothing else.
Any help would greatly appreciated

I couldn't find much but did find this link to a suit made by Edward Lamb 111 Jermyn St, St James, London in 1899

Thanks V54 that is the same site I found. I am hoping someone will chime in with some other resources to tap into to find out a little more about this guy.

It's a very well to do street in London, Fortnum & Mason's is down there! There are still Tailors and Shirt makers down there.

Now that is very interesting. I wonder if there is a local historical society that could shed some light on this this military tailor. It's pretty cool to think this button came all the way from St Jamse's london. Any local information from the area woluld be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help, all I found online was The Royal Historical Society on Russell Square London Wc1b, United Kingdom. I sent a e-mail asking to point me in the right direction to find out more about Edward Lamb, lets hope they can help.

Jermyn Street must have been a popular place to make buttons. Isaacs & Campbell was located on 71 Jermyn street and you'll find their name (and address) on a lot of Confederate buttons such as the "script I" infantry.
