My buddy stumbled across this piece years ago.  He doesn't know or care jack squat about early American glass or any other glass.  He found it tucked away in the basement of some place he rented years ago and kept it.  I see it and tell him its a treasure.  I finally got the opportunity to get pics.  Notice the rare teal on this piece.  Nice nasty pontil too.

Looks good to me. A GIII-17. Can't find where this one had been repro'd. A repro was made for GIII-4. Color is right on too.
This is a Lancaster Glass Works Bottle. It is listed as Common though.

The bottle is not unlike the many genuine early flasks I have held before.  There is plenty of high-point wear, and the base has a lot of wear, see the pic.  It's been around for a long time.  The piece is crude, with fire-polished lip.  It just looks and "feels" right.   Hecklers recently sold a similar piece in their last auction.  SWR and Road Dog, thanks for the input on this piece.
