Detector used Detector(s) Used - Garrett GTP 1350, Garrett Freedon Ace

Posted Nov 08, 2009, 08:30:53 pm

Hi Everyone,

Wondering if someone can help me with my settings on my Garrett 1350. I bought this machine about a year ago to get more depth and I don't think I am getting it. Can someone suggest some settings so I can see if it makes a difference. Thank you in advance!

There aren't a lot of settings on the GTP 1350 to do to make it get more depth except the sensitivity control.  You can advance it some till it goes unstable an then back it off.  Swing speed is important for max depth but the best coil for this machine is the 10" X 14" DD coil which also lets you use the image feature unlike the GTI 1500 which needs the imagining coils.

I just bought a 1350 a couple of weeks ago.
indoor air test
sensitivity set at 6      nickel    dime    penny    quarter
                                 5"          5"         5"         5 1/2"

sensitivity at 11            9"          9"        9"          9 1/2

I couldn't set sensitivity at 12 (max) because it started to chirp and I don't think that extra bar would give it much more.
Hope this helps
Batteries showed 5 bars------fully charged.

I've got a new 10" x 14" Power DD coil I'd sell for $65 shipped.
