Question...what is the better type, vibrating or tumbling?  Question...When tumbling is it better to have a full load or can you tumble just a couple pieces?  Question... I want to spend around $125. to $150. on a machine, which machine in your opinion would be best for a newb? Thanks for any help you can give me....     JYD...

A VERY LOADED QUESTION.   Like so many other parts of lapidary work, there are a lot of variables to take into account.
What is it that you plan on doing the most , and how rough will most your your stones start out? Will you be doing both large stones and small stones? How big will a majority of your stones be? Wow, I could go on and on with this question.
Good luck to ya though!

Whatever it is, it is valuable. If nothing else for the lesson learned or simply the experience of having been there.
