Going to the scrapyard with a solid body like that? Oh man back in my car restoring days we would love to get car bodies in good shape like that, unless it is smashed on the side we cannot see.

Up here in Michigan they would usually rust to pieces and still have a good drive train so we used to try to get a southern body to put our good northern parts into.

If you haven't scrapped it already you should put it in Craigslist in one of the rust belt state's listings. Even without a good drive train I bet someone would come get it to do a restore job on it.

AA, IMO that would be a mistake.

A few years back I had a peugeot 505 turbo diesel.

Even though it was somewhat different than customary American autos it was a very comfortable car to drive and performed without failure each time I called upon it. Very economical to operate.

By law it escapes current smog regulation which is a bonus, here in Kalifornia !

If it's at least close to operating condition, you might keep it around for parades and 'kool kar kruz nights.'

Oh, no way!

List that pic and three more on Craigslist (it's free) and put your price on it. You should get more than the $100 or so scrap price, and it may be kept alive. Even if you get scrap value, the car gets saved and you don't have to keep the tires, battery, and gas tank.

You may already know this, but just in case:

Don't put your phone number or email address in a craigslist ad, or, it's not a good idea to that.

Craigs will give you an anonymous contact address that goes through the website.

You just never know, someone may be looking for one, and I know people in the business of supplying cars for movies and etc, someone like that might grab it.

Someday, if I can get pics to display again, I'll post a shot of the local movie car lot. Some of those were in the last Spiderman movie.
