...Or per bag for that matter -- I know this question has come up before , and I'm sure that
personal experience has a lot to do with your perception of dream numbers. I would think 10%
and greater could be called dream. By the way , I tend toward half hunting - and only silvers,
no NIFC or any other cupro-nickel halves.    Argentium.

Well, a mix of about 100+ 40 and 90 percenters would be a dream box for me!

10% is about where I set my standard for a dream box. I've had 2 in the last 2 months that meet that standard.

would agree 10% to be a dream, and 10+ coins to be very satisfying/enjoying

Dream for me would be either a quarter 90's or half 40's.  Anything less is a let down.

%10 I'd consider nice Box but not a dream find, really; we have had 2 over 500 and 9 over 100. If memory is aright our bestest ever find was a 20 Box search that had one skunk in it, the other 19 yielded 758, 338 were %90's too (162 ounces), in that batch there were 3 boxes over 100 .

I'd be happy just getting an average of 20 or 30 per box really with a real dream (few hundred or more) every so often.

Thanks Obediah,  (and the other respondants so far)  I've been giving this some thought
lately because I'm in a position to do some volume hunting . I figured my 10% based on
the amount of pay I would need to have a day off of work with pay. I've been hunting
3k in boxes or bags (halves only)  And my 10% figure is not the number of coins
yanked, rather it's the melt value of all silver pulled ,as a percentage of face value searched.
My last hunt yielded $ 291.00 silver melt from 3k searched (nearly 10%)-- after my cost
       of 50c apiece on 86 keepers - the net silver is $ 248.00 -  If I work all day - I generally
dont make that much - I like that some of you are clearly differentiating between what
it would take to make you happy -- and what you call dream finds ---Thanks All ...
              Argentium.

Heck, one 40%er would make it a dream box for me! Stopped doing boxes a few weeks ago, due to nothing but skunks.

400 plus keepers would be a dream box for me. Closest I've come to that was 32.

10% in 90%ers or 25% in 40%ers would be a dream box for me. Of course, one rare coin would also make any box a dream box IMO.

Ouch Rich, you are falling way short of a dream box.  You are due for a good one.
