Found these today. I know the musket bullet, but not sure about the other two. In this same spot I found a half of a musket ball. Someone said they cut them in half on purpose. Do you think this is a musket ball with both ends cut off to do mor damage?  icon_scratch
Not sure about the cone shape lead piece.  dontknow
Thank you all.

Bullets that were chewed, WERE NOT...  Oh, another thread.

Bullets that were cut, flattened, rounded, etc. and look like this were most times game pieces made by soldiers for various games.

I think the top bullet is  a 3-Ring Mini.  Bullet #2 looks like a CS Picket. Breezie

Horse stake out post.  Drive it in the ground and tether your horses to it.

Is that a CS picket? These artifacts are far too small for to tether a horse.

A Conferate States Picket Bullet is a fairly rare cone shaped, sharp pointed bullet with a flat base and no rings or grooves.  It was primarily used as a rifle bullet by the South. Breezie

Breezies gettin good. Looks like a picket bullet to me.  There are quite a few variations and a few have blunt almost flat noses and there is a .44 picket that is short and squatty. I think that one is called a Lee picket

You're welcome. oh I might add on those we always considered them confederate because we usually find them in CS camps but the bullet book says both sides used them. I know years ago we dug a lot of them in a coupe 1861 VA camps around here.
