searched 220 quarters at work on break again, who uses pesos?

0 US silver, 2x 1965s... and man they sometimes look like potential silver I don't get it...

1 200 peso, asked cashier to google converter, as I only got a 5$ bill on me, so had to go to car to get change to swap if worth it, turns out it is 14$ in USD, so got change from car, now who do I sell it to? what countries use pesos? mom has a brazilian friend who goes to like brazil/italy yearly, they use it there?

Got to be careful with pesos.  There are different versions for different countries.  Colombia has a poor peso right now.  An appropriate currency converter can be found on

Yeah, tell me about it. My dad showed me a 1967 quarter, and he said he got a rush when he got it in change because he thought it was a 1960 quarter.

Some banks ive been to have a sign saying they will convert currency but i have never looked into it. Am waiting for all the foreign coins i get from dumping at TD to amass then will ask.Another idea i have is to try to sell on ebay when i get enuff canadian.I doubt i will ever get enuff of any others.

Banks here will convert USD to Yen. Maybe some other currencies too, but I don't know.

Most banks will only convert foreign paper money.

Let's do this country by country....

Mexico's largest current coin is 100 pesos.  If the coin is 200 pesos, then it's from the Old Peso era, and minted sometime in the late 1980s.  Mexico revalued their peso in 1992, and all coins before 1992 are worth 1/1000th of their old value.  So 200 Old Pesos is 0.2 New Pesos (20 centavos).  By today's exchange rate, 0.20 Pesos = $0.0154 USD.

200 Argentine pesos = $52.54 USD.  Argentina's largest coin is 1 peso.

200 Chilean pesos = $0.40 USD.  Chile's largest coin is 100 pesos.  (XE.com)

200 Colombian pesos = $0.10 USD.  Colombia introduced 200 peso coins in 1994.

200 Philippine pesos = $4.25 USD.  Philippines' largest coin is 10 pesos.

200 Uruguayan pesos = $10.00 USD.  Uruguay's largest coin is 10 pesos.
