Seemingly underwhelmed that there have been no major hurricanes since Katrina, along with the fact that global hurricane activity is now at a thirty year low, Gore came up with an ingenious method of solving the problem of the lack of scary depictions of frightening hurricanes to display on his book – simply airbrush them in! http://www.prisonplanet.com/with-hurricanes-at-thirty-year-low-gore-turns-to-photoshop.htmlWho buys this crap?

Yeah, and dedlines to mention that the ice in Anartica is expanding. http://www.news.com.au/story/0,27574,25348657-401,00.htmlLying by omission is still a lie. It could even be considered worse than an outright lie in my book.

The story was about the Arctic, so reference to the Antarctic is not meaningful here , except in so far as to show your poor knowledge of earth facts. The Antarctic is colder than the Arctic. From Wiki, "Antarctica is colder than the Arctic for two reasons. First, much of the continent is more than 3 kilometres (2 mi) above sea level, and temperature decreases with elevation. Second, the Arctic Ocean covers the north polar zone: the ocean's relative warmth is transferred through the icepack and prevents temperatures in the Arctic regions from reaching the extremes typical of the land surface of Antarctica" The Arctic melting is just a forcast of what the Antarctic will do in the future.

No, he got it wrong. There are places in Cuba that are 6,000 feet above sea level. In his photoshop pic, Cuba is under water. That would mean that Denver, Colorado would also be under water. The pic has been edited. Look at Florida and Louisiana. Edited. Parts of Canada are missing. Greenland's THICKEST ice is gone and the thinnest remains. The word STOOPID (doesn't deserve a correct spelling even) comes to mind. Stoopid persons did it and stoopid folks believe it. The arctic ice cap shrinks in the northern hemisphere's summer, and the antarctic cap in the southern hemisphere's summer. Been that way for eons. In fact, at one time, Antarctia at one time had green plants. We ain't that warm yet . . .

You've highlighted "Prison Planets" exposé of the books cover, something an artist created depicting a possible future scenario. Such a depiction of the future, by definition, does not have errors. What about the book itself, lets hear your own views about the contents.
Did you read the article about the US navy and the Arctic ice. That's factual and not some petty drivel from Prison Planet.

Nice defense of the omission of data by presenting one view or only one set of facts. " The Artic melting is just a forcast of what the Antarctic will do in the future." OK O great seer. Please enlighten us to why it is that this statement you pulled outta yer tush is a FACT. You know, the way you state your opinions as fact you would be a great climatologist for the MMGW crowd!!

The Antarctic is losing more ice than it's gaining and will therefore in time , like the Arctic , disappear. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2009/11/23/2750931.htm?section=justin

21stCav has just shot himself in the foot , as the report from now 3 prestigious universities is showing that west Antarctica is losing ice mass ; the fact that it is less than earlier thought simply shows flaws in earlier testing methods. He and others are confused between ice area (relevent in the Arctic) and ice mass. What has your bogeyman George got to do with it. Is he funding all 3 universities now. Perhaps he has shares in the US Navy. As soon as you mentioned him you not only shot yourself in the foot but in both feet. When science fails bring in religion, politics and conspiracy theories. LOL.

Science is not static like yourself, someone who has to rely on bouncing smileys to get an upper or to rely on personal attacks when the debate is lost. Testing methods are constantly evolving, the latest based on satellite observation of gravity changes. Just as with the Nigerian scammers , about 1 in a 1000 take the bait which is about the ratio of denialists to believers.

I think these guys just pulled of the first World Wide Terrorist ACT! They caused major breakdowns in economies and staggering losses in stock markets! Billions were lost because of this and the panic that kept us from drilling out west and off shore! We saw a world panic! I think this is treason and acts against humanity. It was a hate crime of the largest magnitude! I say hang those that perpetrated it!
But you know it’s all coming together for Ayres, Soros, and Obama…they want chaos…its their dream to tear the US down so they can build their socialistic empire….....well we ain’t played Cowboys and socialist yet! Let’s go get ‘em!

Shucks y'all, I don't take it personally, even if it is. I think I made myself clear as to why I posted the link piggy is jumping on so nuff said. I was about the way piggy jumped all over that link, and now he is giving me something else to be ing about. NIGERIAN SCAMMERS? Who boy, it sure looks like a lot of people fell for a scam and took the bait but it was not out of Nigeria, but right out of EAST ANGLICA!!!!! Yep a lot of people fell for those scammers. Those guys in Britian and the ones across the globe who they were in kahoots with are the NEW NIGERIANS!! Science is not static, but it is full of charlatans and liars who collude with others to deceive the public for Politics and Money. Just as bad as the corrupt corporations. I have heard of those who do not believe in the MMGW scam as deniers. Well I guess those who believe it MMGW have to be thought of as Deniers now. Watch closely as their hands are put on the sides of their head and they repeat "I'm not listening" thirty times and sing, like a petulant 5 year old!! Folks like piggy slay me.

I am a Physical Therapist sir, so I have a degree. I have been to Holland, Germany, Canada, Belize, England, Spain, Italy, Austria, Mexico, Belgum, Sweden, Switzerland, Panama, and SanFrancisco, which is not another country but I feel it should be. I have been to so many countries that I may have forgotten one. Hmmmmmmm, nope, I think that covered it, but no guarantees. My diploma, and my travels in no way ascertain that I am smarter than someone else. If your credentials were a conformation of intelligence then why would you refuse to look with a open mind toward the proof that MMGW is faked? In fact I really think it is at a point of being a no brainer as to the flagrant misleading of the public regarding MMGW's non existence. Those who blindly follow the Religion of MMGW such as our President I feel deserves my questioning of their mental prowess. All of this being said I do not believe that it is more than you can say for this poor thing, in fact it looks like we are quite equatable regarding education and traveling. I personally believe our true gap is in common sense, I of course having it while you unfortunately have huge deficits of it. I do not hold this against you but rather give you the pity you deserve. To close: MERRY CHRISTMAS CHECH, AND MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU AND YOURS ON THIS MOST SACRED CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY SEASON!

Greycloud, keep taking the meds guy, you'll be with Jesus soon enough. 21stWT, what exactly was your "degree" in? And why is San Francisco another country? I'm sorry, but I don't think you've been anywhere but Germany, I just don't believe you....I really just...can't. You berate "Eastern Europe" like it's some sort of horrible place, yet you've never been here. Why is that Whisky Tango?

Did you not understand that I am a PHYSICAL THERAPIST??? That's what my degree is in. I do not feel SanFrancisco is in any way representative of the rest of the United States thus should just be let go to become Wimpieville or Pinkoria, which ever they would perfer. Simple enough to set up a border check point on the Goldengate like here on the border with Mexico. They could even print money with Richard Simmons on it. I do not lie Chech, so if you do not believe me I suppose I could send pictures. The ones from Europe will be 20 years old, but those from Mexico will be as recent as a week ago. I may be going back to Paris with my wife this coming Summer so I will have some new ones then. This being said, I will ask nicely for you not to call me a liar.
I have nothing againsit Eastern Europe as it is now, but as a it was under communist rule, of course I have objections
Now the bigoted comments about Wiskey Tango. For those of you that don't know here on TN Chech is using the phonetic alphabet used by the U.S. Military to code comments on the radio, Sorta like how Willie Pete was short for White Phosphorus. In this case Chech is using it most likely to mean WHITE TRASH.
Yes, he is trying to make under the table insults to my culture and family. Well, I am a big boy, and I can take it. So shoot with both barrels Chech, you just shoot yourself when you try and be cute. Whats next, are you going to start calling GreyCloud a stinking Red Skinned Savage?

HA. That's what I be and proud of it. God Bless America, where would Eastern Europe be without us. Oh yea, us includes many American Indians. Ever heard of CODE Talkers? Now me and Old 21st may be considered uncool or unpolished by Eastern Europe standards, but we know how to cook up a mess of venison over a camp fire and can dang sure handle a rifle when you need your sorry a$$ saved. Oh yea, we do not need a degree for that. When time get hard, really hard, take your degree you pinko liberal commie and wipe your sorry rear.

Yep, I have had backstrap over a fire quite a few times. I was never the greatest cook, just tolerable, so others have usually done the cooking at camp. Personally my favorite is about 3 Bobwhites fried over that open fire!! MMMMM good!!! I think I may have been a better shot BEFORE the military messed up my windage judgement!!

I think Paris is lovely in the spring, I try to make it at the rear end, I mean, close, of winter every year. It's nice to wake up to the erect, hard, upright, majesty of the Eiffel Tower in the morning, especially when the French Navy is in town, it's so full of seamen! Anchors away! Seriously guy, just relax! Like I said, cut the negative junk and things'll be justht peachy!

Get back on topic please, or is that too difficult for such an "edumacated person" to do. The subject is Algore's "photoshopping" of images in an effort to scare persons who have book learning but no common sense. Since I can see that you can't stay on topic, I am going to ask you nicely, please stop being a horses arse.

Yes, a Physical Therapist with a degree who works with Special Education kiddos in the public school. And my wife is a SLP with her C's.(Do you know what that is?). She also works with Special Education here in Texas. We would be going in the summer not the spring and although Paris is nice, I personally will be looking forward to the jaunt to Stuttgart where I will get to see some old friends. TC just returned from Normandy where the Mayor of a little town he was staying in granted him permission to detect. Sorry to hijack the thread Smee. Sometimes it sorta gets to following where the response leads. I will stay on topic here after. I had just written this when you posted so as TC would say I am going to "let er rip taterchip" and then no more. Personally I would love to visit Cuba when it let go of the Socialist workers paradise system(wadda success!) but according to the photo it's swamped. No wonder all of the Cubans are showing up on Miami beach on rafts.

No problem 21stTNCav.
I understand someone wanting to take up for themselves when attacked by others.
Czechdetectingtours, please find somewhere else to spew your ill manners.
Now, let's get back to discussing Algore's fantasy world . . . where he invented the internet (truth is it actually began when he was a teenager during the 60's as a military network --- 1962 to be exact), and where humans cause the world to overheat and melt the polar icecaps. Where Cuba's Pico Turquino (over 6,000 feet above sea level) is covered by the ocean but Denver is high and dry. Where man's carbon production has caused hurricanes to rotate in reverse.

I see nothing wrong with the books cover as it is a depiction of a possible future earth. I repeat my post #7 : "You've highlighted "Prison Planets" exposé of the books cover, something an artist created depicting a possible future scenario. Such a depiction of the future, by definition, does not have errors. What about the book itself, lets hear your own views about the contents.

When we see a depiction of the rapture or of a Biblical scene don't we accept it as an interpretation or artists viewpoint.

I see you don’t get it yet piggy…Even the Navy referred to 1998 as the hottest year in history in the USA. Real Scientist have made Nasa apologize for that big Lie. The real hottest year on record is 1934 when industrial output was very low and Autos were just starting out. In fact 4 of the hottest years on record were in the 1930’s. You seem to be proud of the Navy’s new super computer..Now if they put real data and real facts into that computer they may be OK. It seem thought that they have bought into the global warming scam so if they put lies into the computer it will put the same garbage out…

Such a depiction of the future, by definition, does not have errors. What about the book itself, lets hear your own views about the contents. It is DRIVEL. Besides, how many trees were killed to make this book about how we are killing too many trees? The facts - as in real science, not the pseudo science used to create the imagined crisis - don't support the premise. You forget, I've been around for a while. I remember these same "religious fanatics" and their gloom and doom warnings of the "coming ice age" back in the late 60's and throughout the 70's. Were they lying then, or are they lying now? It is one or the other. The same pseudo science was used at that time as is being used today. These bozos (sorry for insulting bozo, but it's a lot nicer than what they really are) are not really worried. The leaders of this foolishness are the same people. They are looking for a way to separate you from your possessions. You from your money. You from your property. You from your home. They show all the "apocalyptic images" of a society that has been destroyed by "global warming" the same way some religions use fear to control their members. They want you scarred piggy. They want you to worry about what is going to happen. Why? The same as with those "controlling" religions. They want you to "drink the koolaid." What they don't tell you is how the koolaid is laced with their poisonous lies and half truths. If there was really a climate problem, the more than 1,200 (One Thousand Two Hundred) Limousines driven to the conference (without their owners in many cases) and over 140 private jets, are not doing anything to reduce the problem. It is estimated that "According to the organisers, the eleven-day conference, including the participants' travel, will create a total of 41,000 tonnes of "carbon dioxide equivalent", equal to the amount produced over the same period by a city the size of Middlesbrough. -- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/copenhagen-climate-change-confe/6736517/Copenhagen-climate-summit-1200-limos-140-private-planes-and-caviar-wedges.htmlDoes it sound like they are concerned about CO2 emmissions? Not if it spoils their party. FOLLOW THE MONEY! There is money to be made in fear. It's been going on for centuries, and folks keep falling for it over and over.

The end justify the means. I've just watched an article about the Bible belt Evangelicals and Baptists making Bibles in a 100 different languages for worldwide distribution. Am I complaining about this ; no , but using it as an example. Do we hear about trees being cut down to make these 1000/day books;no and it would be silly to do so. So the post I read above about limo's and trees is just a silly response to a group of people who also have an agenda, and that agenda is to save the planet just like the Baptists agenda is to save our souls.
Back to the topic . Bibles had lots of pictures in them depicting scenes and events. These were allegorical, telling a story , just like the books cover is telling a story about a possible future earth. So concerns about Cuba and hurricane directions are just plain silly as accuracy when talking about the future is meaningless just as accuracy about the past events in the Bible is meaningless as they are both allegorical.

Take a little ride and go through Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and California and tell us what you see….Millions of acres of trees….There are more trees in the USA now than were here in 1492… The GREEN People have never told the truth…Art PS.....No, that would be to poluting and cause Global Warming

Just think about this. You are saying things concerning Cuba and Hurricanes when discussed in the MMGW aspect are ALLEGORICAL like the Bible. That means that just like the Bible, that has divine inspiration as a matter of FAITH, MMGW is also a matter of faith. At least you are separating the MMGW folks from science and admitting that MMGW is more or less a religion. I agree totally. Personally I will keep my faith in God and let REAL science disprove global warming on it's own merits.

I guess they're too good to carpool . . . OOOPPPSSSS!!! Private Jet Pool? So, I get the impression that you believe that having faith in Algore is more important than whether or not he has it right. Is that correct? As for the Bible, it doesn't have pictures unless someone added them. Now, if you can't get the illustrations right because you are in overdrive trying to scare people into believing you, did you get the science right? Nope, it is just another example of attempted slight of hand. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain." Fearmongering! The wannabe emperor (Algore, who has been whinning for a decade now) has no clothes. He's been exposed. His phony science shown up, his secretive scientists' shenanigans exposed. The question is, how long will his supporters try not to tell him he's nekkid?

21stWT, was sent this just yesterday by one of my sicko commie friends in Boston. Maybe you and your significant other have been there? Or maybe that was Belgium? or California? I can't remember . If you want to see a "socialist" country, you can always go to Canada FYI. And no, I still don't believe you have any sort of degree whatsoever, sorry. I have requested that you refrain from the personal attacks and stick to the thread. I have tired of hearing your attacks, and will report this and EVERY thread in which you attack ANYONE on a personal basis. This is not the place for it. If you disagree, then disagree. If you are unable to disagree without being a horse's ass, then don't say anything. Just go away.

I appreciate having my back covered gentlemen, although I am a big boy and I can take the Chech's of the world no problem. This guy does not believe because he chooses not to. Sounds like a true MMGW believer to me!!! Ole Chech can go on believing what he wishes, and I will wake up tomorrow and Go off to see Mercedes HS students just like I have every Monday of this school year. I could send him a copy of my Diploma but he would just say it is a fake. Talk about scummy, he still is using the Wiskey Tango (meaning white trash) after my moniker and he then gets angry when I call him a bigot. Oh well, if the shoe fits. I am getting angry about being called a liar though but I refuse to let it get me down fellas. Thanks again and Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to you too! No, I see "personal attacks" from you guys every day, Muslims, blacks, Democrats, scientists, liberals, you name it, and no, I don't personally attack anyone, don't be so sensitive. As for you WT, I've never said you were "white trash" dude, get over it, that IS a personal attack. "WT" is WT and, that's what it is. "Chech" ain't a name. You spell mine right, I'll spell yours right. A "socialist" nation, Cuba? Nope, communist. Socialist? Most of the free world is a socialist country, Sean Hannity just won't tell you that. Americans live in a "capitalist" society. Do you know what capitalist means? It means that money is the most important thing there is, more important that peoples health, more important than an enjoyable life, more important than life itself. About you being a liar, no, I just don't believe you, that's all, the information you have presented about global warming has more holes in it than a stop sign in Kentucky. The only Mercedes HS is in Texas, so now you live in Texas as well? Ok, well, if you don't, Tenn to Texas is a bit of a drive to go to work, ces't la vie! PS, as a teacher myself, I'm always interested in looking at other schools to see what they do, so I took a peek at the Mercedes HS website, and, strange, I didn't see any physical therapy department in either Mercedes HS or JHS. How odd...should I email Dr. de Leon and ask her about it?

I really do not understand why Gore fabricated that photo of the hurricanes. And I don't understand why there is a 30 year "low" in hurricanes. I was in the middle of 4 in a six week period back in 2004 when I lived in Orlando. Why lie when there are facts evident only five years ago.
Even though I have read and understood The Inconvenient Truth, I now have my doubts about his "facts" and whether or not they were as fabricated as his new book indicates.

I think you answered your own question. Gore is a liar. What he wants you to support is only because of his financial benefit. I really think deep down you understand that.

Also 21stBL, I went ahead and emailed the principal from Mercedes HS yesterday, about if you worked at Mercedes HS every Monday as a physical therapist, or if ANYONE came to the school as a physical therapist. Should I go ahead and print her reply 21st , or would you prefer to let me to let sleeping dogs lie (no pun intended)?

Then sir, you must hate yourself after making a statement like that. You have spent countless hours chasing this individual around the forums to attack them. The only other explanation would be a crush, but I sure hope not. I don't care about whatever imaginary score you are trying to settle, just take it somewhere else.

Gentlemen, I have been out of touch for the Christmas Holidays seeing family in Tennessee sans internet. I had about 20 min online when I discovered this personal invasion. I did not reply at that time but did get in touch with the Principal of the school involved and apologized. I appreciate the support and will say no more than to say this shocked me, but I divulged too much information and therefore paid the price. I am not blameless. I hope a lesson is learned here by more than me. Watch how much you say, it can be used without your permission. Again, I apologize for my part in this distraction from this thread. I am sure you all know I do not believe in MMGW, but if your out there and you are a member of the MMGW church, go ahead and post here. I promise I will never do anything other than to disagree and discuss, even if Cuba sinks!! Again, Thanks.

You guys are doing great, keep up the good work! Piglet is introuble she has met ehr match in your educated and sytematic aproach to her religon of the Green.S cience stands on its own two feet so to speak. Truth is truth and when its covered over sooner or later science will prevail and it will come to light again…The Photoshop doctoring is part of the religion of those who worship "Green", it’s the same type who are always pushing evolution. You can find a site on the web where the majority of scientists who believe in evolution were asked if they thought evolution was a religion something like 80 percent said after they thought about it, it was a religion! So today we see a new religion taught in our schools and forced there by the government…hmmm no separation of church and state there…and you will soon see this new GREEN religion the same way forced into our schools by the liberal idiots that graduate more of thier clones every year. I know from experience. I confronted each professor that brought up evolution in a course while I took my masters in Education at the University of Cincinnati. I had the facts and they were all caught flat footed, they stammered and all had to agree it was just theory, that the fossil record should show the changes and it doesn’t. They could not prove how old the earth was or give a reference. I did and they were shocked to find out there was evidence of a young earth. They just keep teaching crap because they were taught it. You are singled out if you are not part of that region too. As a professor you can put what you want on your office door…imagine what a stir I caused with the “Skeptic’s Handbook” and all kinds of the current truth about Climate Change/Global warming appeared on my door. The students loved it! They are tired of hearing it and evolution preached in every class! It never ends, talk about brain washing! It truly is a region and it’s a sick one too. It is all based on a house of cards and falling down as we speak.

Although I am deeply involved in education, I am by no means a professor so I really appreciate the insight to the higher education systems Curtis provides. I really feel it is sad when scientific method is ignored simply to comform to ones agenda. It is especially disturbing when someone who is supposed to repsent higher education ignores scientific method and as of late has been implicated in fabrication of scientific data. I would say let the facts be presented and may the chips fall where they may, but the reality is if the chips start to land where MMGW crowd does not want it to they try and lie, discredit, and fabricate. Unfortunately MMGW as well as Evolution theory are treated as fact while the true fact is that they are both theory's. Where do you get true information when those most trusted to provide unbiased information turn out to be more or less totally cooking the books? It's sad.

My being new to the forum, is obvious by my post count. But, may I say that this thread has been most entertaining. I must support the theory that Man Made Global Warming is just that. "Man Made" to further a criminal agenda. Yes, it has become a religious hoax, perpetrated by the "High Guru" Al Gore. I admire coherent posts, based upon factual knowledge and observation. Fabrication and character assassination have no place in such a discussion. I offer a "Well Done!" to those who have exposed the MMGW agenda for the criminal conspiracy which it has become.

How Al Gore Wrecked Planet Earth
The Washington Post this morning has a strong story on the collapse of the movement to stop climate change through a binding treaty negotiated under UN auspices. And even the normally taciturn New York Times is admitting that the resignation of the top UN climate change negotiator suggests that no global treaty will be coming this year.
Short summary: the current iteration of the movement–with its particular political project and goals–is dead. This will not be news to readers of this blog where the news was announced on February 1, but never mind.
Anyway, as the Post now belatedly acknowledges, the movement to stop climate change through a Really Big and Comprehensive Grand Global Treaty is dead because there is no political consensus in the US to go forward. It’s dead because the UN process is toppling over from its own excessive ambition and complexity. It’s dead because China and India are having second thoughts about even the smallish steps they put on the table back in Copenhagen.
Doornail dead. (The American Interest)

http://www.globalwarming.org/2010/03/01/the-return-of-al-gore/The Return of Al Gore by Myron Ebell 01 March 2010 @ 1:04 pm It’s not clear what Al Gore has been doing the past three months since the Climategate scientific fraud scandal broke–perhaps doing a bit of interplanetary travel or hanging out in a remote cave discussing how to de-industrialize America with his fellow global warming alarmist, Osama bin Laden. No matter, Gore has returned to his global warming crusade with an op-ed in the Sunday New York Times. And what an op-ed! “We can’t wish away climate change” is 1896 words, or about three times the length of most op-eds. Unfortunately, the leader of the forces of darkness hasn’t learned a thing during his mysterious sabbatical. Gore begins by claiming that “it would be an enormous relief” if global warming turned out not to… http://www.investors.com/NewsAndAnalysis/Article.aspx?id=522575A Blizzard Of Lies From Al Gore Al Gore resurfaces in an op-ed to say that nobody's perfect, everybody makes mistakes and climate change is still real. And he has some oceanfront property in the Himalayas to sell you. If hyperbole and chutzpah had a child, it would be the opening paragraph of Gore's op-ed in Sunday's New York Times. Gore surfaced from the global warming witness-protection program to opine that despite admissions of error and evidence of fraud by various agencies, we still face "an unimaginable calamity requiring large-scale, preventive measures to protect human civilization as we know it." Perhaps he's trying to protect his investments as he knows them, for he is heavily involved in enterprises that deal with carbon offsets and green technology. If the case for climate change is shown to be demonstrably false, a lot of his green evaporates like moisture from the ocean. (IBD)
