Navy prepares for ice free North pole.
The Antarctic is simply playing catch-up as weather conditions are Naturally more severe down south.

Here is the US Navy Arctic Roadmap :

And your following of this man is as sensless as your ignoring facts that do not agree with the scenario you like or your fallacious statements of fact. "The Antarctic is simply playing catch-up as the weather conditions are Naturally more severe down south."

Just keep picking and choosing. It does more to hurt your argument that anything else. hello2

I've answered your query in an earlier post 21Cav. Again the Antarctic is greater in size
than the Arctic therefore will take longer to melt.
From Wiki,
"Antarctica is colder than the Arctic for two reasons. First, much of the continent is more than 3 kilometres (2 mi) above sea level, and temperature decreases with elevation. Second, the Arctic Ocean covers the north polar zone: the ocean's relative warmth is transferred through the icepack and prevents temperatures in the Arctic regions from reaching the extremes typical of the land surface of Antarctica"

Your answer does not do service to my query. It is not scientifically valid. Regardless if it is colder and would take longer to melt, it should not be increasing in ice. Look carefully at what you are saying. If MMGW theory is correct the addition of ice at this rate would be impossible. Bigger?? All that means it should take longer to melt. It should decreasing in size right now. Colder?? It has been colder for thousands of years and the Ice did not increase in size. why would it now?? You are taking factual data and drawing unscientific conclusions from it. The Anataric is colder than the Artic therefore that somehow explains why the Ice at the Antarctic is increasing. Does not make logical sense, period.

Gee….Taking what some people think is happening does not match up with History….In 1906 a wooden hull ship went from the Pacific to the Atlantic through the Northwest Passage. I went through it in 1959. Miles and miles of nothing. If the Navy goes there what does that Prove….Sure is not proving Global Warming….Art

The Navy is not taking a once a year romp when weather permits. It refers to the arctic circle being ice free the year round.
Read the article and the US Navy Arctic Road Map.
The experts in the US Navy recognise global warming is happening.

Now from the University of Texas confirmation of the Antarctic breaking up and melting .

Primary Interest: All Types Of Treasure Hunting

Reply To This Topic #10 Posted Nov 24, 2009, 09:51:10 am

Thanks to the Russian TREASURE HUNTERS why treasure hunters? Because the just saved the planet from global monetary collapse! They dug up the Gold (evidence in the emails) on the liars! (Radical Greenies and liberals who followed them).
And so another lie perpetrated by the greenie liberals dies after costing tax payers billions of dollars! All of us want to see good behavior on everyone’s part not to destroy our natural wonders. But look what was done:

1. The money spent on this lie (Billions) could have been spent on significant research that may have helped to cure cancer or other REAL life saving causes.
2. The Panic approach has prematurely launched alternatives that were not ready...look at all the birds killed by wind generators.
3. And worse….. Now people will be skeptical about REAL alternative energy sources! They will never buy into the very real solutions that will be presented. You people (Radical Greenies) have (as usual) shot your freaking foot off! Now real researchers will see grant money dry up because of your lies and extensive deceptions.
I firmly believe this was done under the auspices of Mr. Destruction himself…yes, Soros! He has made his billions by creating just this kind of chaos…look it up! He truly has a career of this on a smaller scale, now I imagine if you had the power to look into it you would find he has bought into companies (for pennies on a dollar) that will come out of this economic chaos and grow to make him Billions more…hmmmm same guy who helped finance The Abomination’s campaign?
I think you guys just pulled of the first World Wide Terrorist ACT! You caused major breakdowns in economies and staggering losses in stock markets! Billions were lost because of this and the panic that kept us from drilling out west and off shore! We saw a world panic! I think this is treason and acts against humanity. It was a hate crime of the largest magnitude! I say hang those that perpetrated it!
Oh, PIGLET…..the scientific method most of us use has no room for liars…we can make false assumptions, make mistakes and such but to purposefully lie and then deceive and then, dismiss real work from JOURNAL ARTICLES!!! Do you read this!! Where is the scientific method in that…..you are pitiful! Probably a Soros employee hired to go to conservative blogs to serve out disinformation.

Yea, though I walk through the Valley of Death I will fear no evil for thou art with me.

Piggy, again, these opinions are in the minority. In America you'll find grumpy, unhappy and grizzled old men like we see here almost everywhere, in the supermarket, the VFW hall, on the street. When I was a boy in Virginia, we had a governor named Douglas Wilder, who was black, and the grumps used to sit outside of T+W Service station in Monroe, drink Early Times whisky and go on about him, how awful it was he was the governor, his grandparents were slaves (not that how bad it was his grandparents were slaves, but how uppity that a grandson of them could rise to become governor of the state, and therefore them!), Virginia was going to suffer, etc. They also were still PO'd at the GERMANS!!! Well, it didn't, in fact did really well. Pity them, you won't change them....

The "climate gate data" furor is a result of climate scientists asking legitimate questions, posing alternatives, raising objections etc,
as a natural quest for the truth.
This quest for the truth is something which is anathema to the religion/money based warming
sceptics.
We have all heard the expression "it is gospel" ,well science doesn't work like that.

Why is it difficult for the sceptics :
It's the woeful performance in Math and Science that the US has sunk to.

I am sure Chech you are a racist as well as a bigot. "Wiskey Tango" again.

Does anyone ever ask themselves why we rank so low?
I would love to hear the PC answers.
Piggy, you have not heard about all of the e-mails where the main subject is erasing data so that sceptics would not be able to refute the conclusions the MMGW crew reached? What a excellent scientific method. What about totally ignoring the full blown evidence of the moon of Saturn and the planet Mars showing signs of warming in the late 90's, coincidentally at the same time as the Earth? What about the FACT that e-mails exist showing that data was changed all the way back to 1961 to indicate cooler temps so that the rise would be more dramatic in the 90's. Ignore, Ignore, Ignore. Great scientific method. Whats next, are you going to post Ted Turner rambling on that the Earth is flat? Possibly you might get with Chech and post about Grey Cloud being a "Casino Indian" or me being a "Hillbilly", or a "Redneck". Yes, I know y'all are the most upstanding, non racist, non bigoted fellows in the world, until it suits your purposes.

I got a question for Graycloud, who lives just a bit to the south of me, in Louisiana . . . a state noted for it's summer heat and humidity.

What was all that white stuff falling down your way last week. If we aren't going to have snowballs (as piggy says), what the hell was it?

Piggy, we have had cooler summers for the past 9 years. The worst summer in these parts was 2000 and it has steadily moderated since then. Here in SOUTH Arkansas (where the weather would be warmer --- northern hemisphere's coldest temps are up north), we haven't had a really hot (over 100 degrees) week in at least 4 years. It used to be EVERY YEAR, for at least two weeks in August (usually the entire month of August and most of July unless we had some rain) you could expect temps to be 105+ every day. Heat indices approaching 115 lots of times.

Perhaps this is the result of industrialization. We have more industry than the Aussies, we have much more industry that the Africans, and yet you guys seem to be the ones complaining about record temps. Maybe you need to burn more fossil fuels.

Had to laugh at that report on NBC last nite talking about "Environmental Refugees". They showed a young woman who was telling them how she has been unable to get any water at all due to the drought in Africa. The reporter asked her how long it had been since she had had a drink of water. She said two days. The problem is . . . and maybe this should go in comedy central (no, wait, this comes after Comedy Central and Funny Signs so the mods must understand Global Warming isn't real, so I should be okay) . . . she was standing a short way from dozens of barrels of water which were being filled as she spoke. Add to that, she was having no difficulty speaking, her lips were not parched, and she was standing in a very dusty place but was spotlessly clean and her clothes looked like they had just come off the rack. BULLCRAP!!!

It's a political attempt to enslave the populace. It is pseudoscience or worse --- Science for hire.

Global warming is a farce, a scam, a LIE.

Gee piggy…..The Sun comes up every morning and it starts to warm up….In the evening the Sun drops below the horizon. DARN..It starts to get cooler. It has been doing this for a little over 5 billion years if you can believe the scientist . We have had hotter times and cooler times long before man arrived. The only difference now is that we have a bunch of JERKs that want to blame every thing on man…These are the real FACTS…ART

Smee said in relation to colder weather in his state :
"Perhaps this is the result of industrialization. We have more industry than the Aussies, we have much more industry that the Africans, and yet you guys seem to be the ones complaining about record temps. Maybe you need to burn more fossil fuels."

What this proves is that by reducing industry, as America is doing by sending it offshore,
that average temperatures will decrease in the localised area.
This confirms how global warming occurs but it is only a short term localised event as it
will catch up to the rest of the world eventually.

Are you sure piggy that you are not a scientist at East Anglica or just a environmental scientist period. I just assumed from the logic you are using. (For some reason you could not figure out that what Smee posted was in jest???)

Yep, I take people as they come, don't make impressions until they come. Why are us American kids so dumb? Beats me dude, after dropping out of high school to go to work as a bike messenger in San Francisco icon_sunny (your fav city), a few years later I went to the University of Virginia, Oxford University in England in the summer twice, graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a 3.7GPA and and had my thesis published because it won a competition (it was about the status of America if the Vietnam Conflict had never happened, what would be different, better or worse, you should have a read, you'd like it). I have never mentioned Indians, rednecks or hillbillys once in my posts dude, that's you who keeps doing that, dunno why. If you feel like I'm putting you down, relax, I grew up without much money myself, and my first job was shoveling rocks and used chewing tobacco out of a coal mine in Lee County, VA, so don't feel I'm putting you down for being....you know...thuper!

Although my family was not rich, were not poor. We owned a small business, and many of my jobs centred around this. From the age of 5 I sacked groceries and swept floors.

Now as for the "I am not saying anything insulting" comment. You have put your picture up of Obama with the Wiskey Tango phonetic. You have used the Wiskey Tango moniker for me several times. I would definitely say that you started that. If this phonetic does not stand for "White Trash", exactly what does it mean? Since I am pretty sure of it's meaning, why would I not take being called "White Trash" as a insult? Why would "White Trash" not be equitable to Hillbilly, Redneck, Etc..........?

Personally I have never lived in a moblile home, but I have had lots of freinds who do. Most of the people I have met at a trailer park have been good, honest, hard working folks. Some I have met have been the dregs of humanity. I have been to several million dollar homes. Most of the owners seemed to be good, honest, hard working folks. Some were the dregs of humanity. dontknow One of the wealthiest and nicest people I have ever met I met was while in the active Army at Ft Sill OK. Since he was one of the local Dragracers we sorta gravitated together naturally via common intrest. He invited me over for a party at his home. It was a double wide in a trailer park. We ran out of beer and he said he had some in his boat out back, and could I get it? I stepped out his back door and he had a sail boat slightly bigger than his trailer. I just thought it was the nose of a small boat sticking out from the end when I drove up. The point is that you should never judge a book by the cover and that you can easily find good folks in a trailer park, as easily as you can find bad folks in a million dollar home. To jab culturally at someone you don't even know shows a true insight to ones character. To not apologize shows and even deeper insight. Sorry to get off thread. I try and not let that happen again.

Aw nah piggy, he don't live in no trailor, he dun got hisself a dergree frum college. Hey dude, um, now that you were in the Army in Oklahoma and not Germany, where did your friend keep his boat, cuz it's like 500 miles from the ocean or any lake big enough not to be able to swim across to keep a sailboat bigger than a doublewide. Sorry, does not compute. http://www.youtube.com/v/IRk_D1UMPsI
