Put on a different coil and managed to find a couple of V nickles that was that was hiding by some iron in the ground. Used the new D2 coil I got for the first time works pretty good when theres a little iron in the ground.

I had a friend show up at a place I was detecting, he had never tried a metal detector.  I got him going with my back up and he dug nails, wire, foil etc.  Right before we get done, he shows up with something in his hand.  He doesn't know what it is.  I take a look tell him buffalo no wait, even older.  He found a 1900 V.  The first coin he ever recovered with a metal detector.   I hate to tell you how many years it took me to find one.  Good job, I know they are hard to bring up.

Yep found my first V, 1904 a couple weeks ago after trying for 9 years...wow...thats a long time...alot of holes and pull tabs. But worth it when I saw it for the first time.      jgas
