I just sorted through 9000 from bank of america and wells fargo. I found 26 40% and 6 90%.  I live in los angeles.  Are there any other people from my area who are getting such dismal numbers?

It seems a few years ago I could go through 9000 and find 100dollars worth.

You shouldn't be sad! That's a pretty good score. Btw, did you search through 9000 half dollars, or $9000 worth of half dollars?

9000 dollars, 18000 total coins.  I guess i am spoiled then. but i have been doing this since 2005 and I can remember averaging 5 a box easy.  I wonder if los angeles is completely taped out?

There's probably a lot of searchers in the LA area.  I was passing through from San Diego to the SFBay Area when I decided to dump at a BofA in Valencia.  The teller told me that they had another local searcher that brings them halves every week to dump.  Most of my dump banks recognize me as their main dumper of halves in the area for halves.

Do you remember what street that bofa was on? was there a chase or a carls next to it? I live in valencia. I havent dumped coins  on the bofa since may 2009, and it wasnt every week.  have always thought i was the only one in valencia. if there is someone else in my town that would be interestig

btw whats it like in sf. I was there last year i looked through 6000 from 3 different wells fargos and all i found was a 1856 french penny

I used to go down to solona beach on occassion and always found quite a few, but my last two times I didnt find anymore then I usually find in the la area.

I kind of feel like going to oregon but i hate the thought of driving all that way preorderig coins  spending on gas only to find zero
