Took a trip to a town near me with 4 banks.

Bank 1 had $183 in halves in their counting machine - 1 1954, 2 1963-D, 1 1964-D, 5 1967, 2 1968-D, and 3 1969-D.

Bank 2 had $150 in bank wrapped rolls - 1 1964-D.

Bank 3 had a $500 bag of dimes and a $100 box of nickels
    Dimes 1951-S, 1964-D, a 1900 German Empire 5 Pfennig (Copper-Nickel), and a 2004 British 5 New Pence

    Nickels 1943-S and 1944-P War Nickels and a 2000 Ecuador 5 Centavos. Also 31 Pre 1960.

Bank 4 had $39.40 in nickels, $436.40 in dimes, and $87 in halves from their counting machine.

    Nickels 18 pre 1960, no silver. Dimes 1 1964-D, 5 Canadian, a washer and a button. Halves 1 1964-D, 2 1965, 3 1967, 1 1968-D, and 1 1969-D.

OK results ? Are you joking ?      for the rediculously small amount of coin you searched, you
scored large !  Man if you were metal detecting for a month , you'd be so geeked to find those
quantities !   massive score on the numbers !   do the math ----      Argentium.

What's the mint mark and date of the washer ? I may be missing that one.

Nice results and thanks for the pics.   JP

What is every day supposed to bring hundreds of silvers?   icon_scratch You have a day like you had today once a month and you should be thrilled! We sometimes get so used to finding the silver we forget many of us used to scrounge for weeks in the dirt to find a silver rosie.

Alright, maybe I need to choose my discriptive words more carefully. This was a better than OK find on the halves considering I looked through less than a box worth. Finding any coin thats over 100 years old is always fun.

For the pictures I use a Nikon D200 with an 18-200mm lens. I would really like to invest in a macro lens in the near future. For the close-ups of the Pfennig I used a Kodak DX7630 Point-N-Shoot through the eyepiece of a binocular microscope.
