Found this piece of blue glass at the beach.
Perhaps was part of a cup. It looks old.
Any ideas?

Judging by the pictures, it looks like Depression Glass, which would be circa 1929-to early 1930's. Breezie

to me it appears to be part of a drinking glass of the same basic design and type as the bowl in the e bay ad.

The piece seems too thick to be a glass. More likely part of the base of a bowl. The pattern lines are more rounded than the ebay pics.

While this forum is the best metal object identification site on the planet , Ebay's "pottery and glass" discussion board is the best glass ID forum on the planet. Glass experts from several fields frequent that board. If you post your picture and query there you will have the best shot you are going to get to an ID on a piece of glass: http://forums.ebay.com/db2/forum/Pottery-Glass-Porcelain/75?&anticache=1259083742790
