Hello guys.  I found 2 bottles today and brought them home and cleaned them up.  One is what I think is called a Torpedo bottle. It is a nice color.  The other is an ink bottle I believe.  On the bottom of the ink it says Carter's 1897.  If anyone could give me a little history lesson on these 2 I would appreciate it.  I have no idea what they are worth.  If ya'll know could you give me a ballpark figure.  They sure are pretty.  Thanks...zaxfire69

Nice finds for your shelf. You might find a napkin ring that will support the torpedo (known in Britain as a "Hamilton") upright.  Maybe a section of radiator hose or of large-diameter, clear plastic hose would work.

While interesting, these two bottles don't have much dollar value, say less than $20 for both.

These ink cones come in a variety of colors, any of which would be more valuable than an aqua example.  You can find embossed torpedos, mostly British -- embossed American torpedos are very rare and valuable.
