    Other than 1 other percussion cap hammer, this is my only other gun part I have found.  So I know very little about these sort of things.

    I'm assuming it's Steel (maybe iron)?  I have no idea of age & would love to know your thoughts?

    The site is a Roman Site, so no clues there, very little modern stuff found in this area!
