Got out to the hunt that Tim was holding....Got there about 8:30 but left about 11:15...Didn't get to see everyone....
Got a nice high tone with a low tone near it....At first I thought it would be a can top so I was going for the low tone but pulled out the high tone first , a 1944 WLH.... I look up and see no one around and start making calls... first couple calls no answer....I did get a hold of Dan and Mike..... anyways....
Now for the low tone  Buffalo maybe......not to be ...a shotgun casing.....
Out in the field I saw Kirmit pull hi 20 Merc and then I got  " The smallest Religious Medal" I ever dug. It was 5 inches deep...
Dug a penny that is the worst penny I have ever dug...No details at all....

Pain was setting in and so was hunger.... So I left with S P to get something to eat......and let the pain killers take effect...

While eating we decided to check out a park for a short time then head back....

First target was a 1931 Oak Park Dog Tag then a few feet away I got 45 Washington...some other stuff then a 1924 Good Luck coin from Pekin Illinois Centennial July 2,3 & 4 1924...
I pulled a button that has a C S L checked it out and found it is a uniform button from the Chicago Service Line

Went home to do some honey do's.

Sorry I never made it back to the hunt....

Bob,

It is insane how easily you seem to pop those vintage dog tags out of the ground!  I've yet to find one older than 1963.  At the rate you're going with those halves, I wouldn't be surprised to see you dig a Morgan before the end of the year!  NICE job!

It was a broken up signal too...maybe from the rusted hook that was on it....
It looks nice in the display frame...Now the frame is complete with 9 old ones....

Thanks...............

Kick ass finds Bob!  Slam-diggin' Halves back to back is awexome, yes!?

I know how you were feelin' there... sometimes I can get that way too, and after only a couple hours.  A short rest usually gets me goin' again for another hour or two.  Finding half dollars is definitely one way to perk me back up as well!
