haha couldn't resist with the title

Just throwing this one out there.  Small lever type thing with a yin & yang symbol on it.  one part of the symbol has small dots on it.

MADE IN USA on one side
PAT APPLIED FOR on the other

Spool spindle from an old sewing machine?

I might be WAY off but that's what first popped into my mind.  It could be because I'm in "sewing machine mode" from research on another "What is it" posting (bobbin winder)...
