Happy Thanksgiving to all!

To make this post artifact related here are a couple of Agee cache points dug by Glen Kizzia on the Kidd site in Pike County, Arkansas in 1980.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours Joshua.  Hope you're enjoying the warm weather.  Yep, it's still cold here in the midwest!!

Larson,  I'm pretty sure those Agee points are Novaculite from Arkansas.  Most all of the Agee points are made from that material.

    Happy Thanksgiving.
    I love those Agee points.
To me they're the best arrrowheads.
My only complaint is that their range is too small.

    Larson1951,

Hippy is right, they are novaculite and come from a cache of 223 points.  As I understand it, these were from a couple of quivers that were piled together in a cache (leaving only the arrowheads all clumped together and pointed the same way.)

Here is a link to a similar type quiver cache found at Cahokia.  I'd have a heart attack if came across a cache like that.

Most people are born as hunters in one way or another. Does it not make sense that we gather as well. Enjoy the hunt and gather wisely.
