I picked up 2 boxes of pennies and a box of nickels today, along with 30 dollars in dimes. I haven't searched the nickels and pennies yet, but out of the 6 rolls of dimes, I got 2 silvers, a '64, and a '50. I thought that was good, for only 30 dollars worth. Awhile back I searched maybe 20 dollars worth of halves, and got 5 40%'s, so I'm guessing no one is searching my area. That maybe good. I might have to start getting boxes of dimes, and halves now.  Grin

Wow, that is really good for dimes! If you have the money, starting getting them by the box  thumbsup

I think the hand rolls are the best.  Every once and a while I've hit it big time (solid rolls, 25 in a roll, etc.).  But I always search dimes as a hedge when I'm out because sometimes the halves either cannot be found or are all skunks.

It was you who led me to pick up dimes. I usually do nickels, and pennies, but in another post of mine, you suggested dimes.

How are you able to get US coinage in Japan?

I'm not in Japan, I just like it better than the US, so I chose their flag. I plan to move there someday though.

Yes I remember that too.....

I will persist until I succeed.

I was not delivered into this world into defeat, nor does failure course in my veins.  I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd.  I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep.

I will persist until I succeed

Since I'm on a US base in Japan, they have BOA's. And we use American coins and bills; you can get rolls of US coins at the bank.
