Detector used Detector(s) Used - Minelab Sovereign GT

I have an ace 250 9x12 coil with a chip, I hit a rock with it. I'm selling the whole setup and I want to make sure that the chip won't affect the use. I used it like that for a while and I saw no difference.  Thanks for your expertise.

It won't affect it at all. Most of the bottom of my Ace 250 coil is gone from hitting rocks and it still works very well.

Should be okay if no wires are showing.

Just let the potential buyers know in the ad.

Detector used Detector(s) Used - Very pleased with most Fishers, old Compasses, a couple of Minelabs, some newer Teknetics, low-end Tesoros, and some Whites. I now own more than 30, but have worked on hundreds more.

Sometimes a chip will cause the coil casing to leak.

On the other hand some coils have electronics "chips" in them and without the chips the things would never work.

I couldn't resist the lame "chip" pun, mostly because it's nice to give out a bit of undisclosed info now and then.

A product called "FlexableSeal" is available in white, grey, brown, clear, etc (about $5 a tube) and it is the best water sealant on the planet. You can find it in only a (few) hardware stores, but nearly EVERY dedicated (roofers) supply in America has it. It's the best sealant available for metal roofs, and it is SUPER!

Man, when you upgrade, you upgrade!  Shocked

Get ready for about 3 times the depth on coins and you'll find lots of them where you already hunted.
