Hello I am new here and I am trying to find new places to go. I live in central Iowa in a small town and its tough pickings. There is a few detectorist in my town and the parks are clean. I am getting bored and digging up every pull tab and hoping to find something good. I have not found anything good yet. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome To Treasurenet, lots of good people here.
You might try old farmsteads, old one room schools, ghost towns ect...
Get an old and a new plat book of your county and compare them, you will be amazed at how many old one room school houses where around back in the day.
Remember, research is the key.

research the internet for schools, parks, football fields, etc. Also look for old newspapers that talk about events in the area like fairs, socials, swimming holes, etc. If you want to do a road trip see what is in your surrounding area as well. The internet can provide so many leads that others may not know about. Ask permission to hunt some older homes. Ask some of your friends for some help. The list is endless as to where you can hunt.
