This is a first for me.  Swung by a branch after dumping my clad and asked for halves.  Teller says she has $1.50.   She reaches in and grabs them, then holds one up which she says, "Oh, here is a real old one".  I quickly grabbed it, thanked her and walked out.  Now I am the new owner of a 1934 half with a nice big counterstamp of 1958 on the reverse.  First walk-in walker.  Thanks for looking...

I wonder what is the reason for the counterstamp.  Good souvenir/gift for someone born in 1958. Nice score!

Ive found several halves with 1980 stamped on them on the obverse, usually twice.

All of them have been clad, so I assume they are someones marked coins...

I got a Franklin once that looked as if someone hammered the face with a punch. Poor Ben looked like he had a bad case of the smallpox.
But it's still a 90%er.

Good find on the WLH!!
