Why you should be outraged- climategate

The primary reason for my outrage has nothing to do with anything anyone else tells me about or against climate change. I don't need the idea of global warming to realize that reliance on non-renewable energy sources is unsustainable.

My outrage stems from US citizens constantly doing "what they can" simply because they can do it rather than "what they should" because it's the responsible thing to do.

For example, recently it is being said that "We cannot use alternative power sources alone, we will need to rely on Nuclear power if we want to stop using fossil fuels". Yet no mention is made of the idea of cutting back on power usage. (And no, i'm not saying throw out refrigerators and get iceboxes, a good example is all the lights left on in office buildings at night when nobody is there)

Weve always been in agreement on that lasivan. Im a conservative.Im all for conserving.
  But obviously those in power right now arent for some reason, they belive its a good Idea to spend 145 triilion (did you get That #, you could finance 145 Irag and apfganastans with that type money.)
Obviously this isent about conservation.

At this point even you admitte Global warming is BS. (agien we agree on slowing pollution and Green energy, we always have).  What do you thing th copenhaven treaty is really about?

I don't recall the federal government in the last eight years giving us a balanced federal budget. Those in power now aren't doing much different.

This is like a math professor saying "show me the proof your equation is correct: 12 * 3 562 = 42 744" and then turning in a response saying "I don't have to show the work behind that equation, instead you have to prove to me that it is not correct".

My implication was clear, I want you to back your point of view. I'm sure you consider some sources online to be more reliable than others, how is it wrong to have you select your sources or data to defend YOUR point of view?

Either you can't or don't want to defend your side of the debate so you're overgeneralizing to try and make your point. It's silly to compare unproven science to something anyone can see at any time in any place. (Going back to the math question example no professor is going to accept an answer of "of course this is correct, do you want me to prove the sky is blue as well?".)

You're also muddying the original point by now saying "you can find articles disproving MMGW" when the original question by me to Texan Connection (not you I might add) was "How do you figure that "green" will enslave the world?". (This obviously having nothing directly to do with "disproving MMGW" as a specific topic)

I want specifics here from real people, not general news stories. Is that so hard to grasp?

For massive energy savings, why can't the country return to having most stores & all major
malls closed on Sundays ?  It was that way at one time & people found other things to do
on Sundays, like enjoying family. Or like in Germany, no large trucks or transportation on the
highways from Friday nights to Monday mornings ? There are plenty of simple answers, but the
problem is typical , simple American greed. These corporations feed the politicians and the politicians
will never, ever make decisions that will take money from their pockets or campaign funds. It benefits
them to let the peons pay the price.

There a lot of Great ideas being done in Europe, Im all for limiting pollution and offering incentives for Green technology. (lasi, You know I am, i have posted as such and DO it on a personal level, probaly more than you)

     The Climate Gate-Global warming IS A LIE its been proven, the the #'s are being manipulated and False science is being used.
Those are just facts, you know it, you can find the links. Is Global warming happening? maybe, is it Just Earths natural proccess? probaly.  Is it good to cut down on emmissions? of course.
