If the typewriter is not repair worthy, the keys alone are worth $30-50 to crafters who make jewelry from them.

                     I think all it needs is ink, I didn't know about the jewelry making.

I don't recall ever seeing a typewriter with the carrage return on the right side.   icon_scratch  When in good condition, these old Remingtons were really smooth operating machines.

Got 3 of the old ones here in storage- needing repairs, plus 1 old wood and cast iron cashregister from early 1900's one of my best finds just driving down the road.

A very nice fine.  I paid $55 for the exact same one at an antique store.  And while the jewelry is cool, if it still functions it just isn't worth mangling such a beautiful machine.
